The Trawler Landing System This system has been devised to provide a detailed catch analysis and to produce lorry loading details and fish lists in Excel format which can then be sent be Email to the destination market for automatic entry into the electronic auction systems. For each box of fish, there is a Species, Quality Grade (three day or non-three day) size grade, box colour and box type (Auction or On-Board) to be entered. The Stacking of the boxes is a manual exercise, with the user pressing the Stack End key whenever a stack is deemed to be complete. Details can either be entered singly - e.g. Species key then Species the Enter followed by Size key then Size then Enter, etc, or else entered by Shortcut - e.g. Shortcut then 011GA then Enter for Species 01, Size 1, Green Auction Box all in one quick entry. The scale also has the ability to give running totals for both the current lorry an the current landing, so that management on the production floor can be kept informed as to how much more product can be loaded without causing over-loading.
