The Production Packing System
This is a very powerful system for any organisation which is producing product to satisfy sales orders as opposed to simply picking orders from completed stock

While this was initially devised for the primary processing of salmon harvests, it could equally be used for other products such as trout or tcallops, or any number of other uses in the food production sector.

It can run either as a stand-alone module or as part of a complete Sales/Production Order Processing System. depending on the needs of the customer.

The system works by linking a products database table to a PLU list on a terminal mode indicator. Because the products list is held on the computer rather than in the scale. there is absolutely no limit to the number of PLU's which can be used.

Automatic Allocation of Orders.....

Orders can be pre-entered into the system prior to the start of production, and, each order line is given a priority, the allocation of such product as is available can be set by the office staff prior to the shift beginning.

Priorities can be changed, and new orders added to pre-empt existing orders at any stage.

All boxes produced will be labeled with the customer's name, address and order number at the time of production.

Manual Allocation of Orders.....

If you prefer it, all product can be labeled as T.B.A. (To Be Allocated) and then assigned to orders at a later stage. This can either be achieved by keying in every box number against the customer.

These two methods are not exclusive, and your system can run a mixture of pre-allocation and post-allocation as required.

The Scanning Option.....

If you are running the post-allocation system, then the operation can be greatly speeded up by using the Scanning option to avoid the manual recording and input of box numbers.

      Stock Control.....

You can load all unallocated product into stock, and make up orders from stock, using product from more than one harvest
